Mentors and Members
Jason Martzloff
Lead Mentor
Hey there, I'm Jason – proud dad to Aidan. As a mentor to the team, I bring my expertise in programming and troubleshooting to the forefront to help our students prepare for competitions, ensuring our robot performs at its best.
By day, I'm the Director of Design at an AI company, where I harness innovation to shape the future of technology. But when I'm not immersed in the world of robotics and AI, you'll find me indulging in my passions: exploring new destinations, cherishing quality time with my family, bonding over Formula 1 races with my son, and engaging in some friendly Nintendo competition with my wife.

Patti Martzloff
Marketing Mentor
Hey y’all! I’m Patti (Aidan’s mom) but consider all the kiddos on the team my own! As one of the team mentors, I wear many hats – from spearheading our marketing and fundraising efforts to ensuring smooth travel logistics, and most importantly, keeping our team fueled and ready for action!
When I'm not busy with Carrborobotics, you'll often find me lending a hand at the Carrboro High PTSA, showering affection on adorable dogs, breaking a sweat with the Peloton community, or whipping up culinary delights in the kitchen!

Captain and Electrical Lead
Hey! I'm a senior at Carrboro, and I lead our electrical sub-team, and the driver of our robot. During our meetings, you'll find me doing all sorts of things on the robot, such as servicing swerve modules, brainstorming ideas, running the CNC machine, and maybe helping with programming from time to time. At competitions, I am constantly running around, discussing with other teams, and making sure out pit is working in an organized and quick manner, assuring our robot is always in tip-top condition for the next match!
Aside from robotics, I love to work on cars, take photos, and pursue my passions in engineering fields!

Hey! I'm a senior at Carrboro High School and the programming lead for Carrborobotics! I work on the autonomous functions of our robot and make sure it performs according to our goals. I also press buttons on the driver team at comps! (Besides that one time I forgot 😝)
Outside of robotics I like thrifting, listening to music, trying out new restaurants, and soccer!

Mechanical Lead
Hello, I’m a senior at Carrboro High School. I am also the mechanical lead on Carrborobotics, so my main focus is assisting with design and helping to turn concepts into reality. On the leadership side, I make sure that team members feel involved in the creation of our robot, and gain necessary mechanical skills to make them more autonomous and independent.
My interests outside of robotics are aviation, cars, and ultimate frisbee.
